About our church
We are a church family that seeks to experience the amazing love of God through Jesus Christ in worship, Word, prayer, fellowship and service.
Our Mission
Our mission is:
to know Jesus
share His love
and lead others to Him
What we value
Worship |
Through worship we seek to express our love to Jesus and seek expectantly for the transforming presence of the Holy Spirit. |
Word |
We believe that biblical preaching gives us the grace to transform into the likeness of Christ and equip us to minister in the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit. |
Ministry |
As a priesthood of believers, we seek to show God’s love to others by ministering to their needs, praying for the sick and ministering freedom from bondage in the name and power of Jesus Christ. |
Fellowship |
We see church as God’s family. We endeavour to make everyone feel a sense of belonging, caring for each other, sharing our lives in Christian love and unity. |
Discipleship |
In obedience to Christ, we seek to help one another become more like Jesus in our thoughts, feelings and actions; teaching and helping one another into spiritual maturity. |
Outreach |
Church is beyond the four walls. To this extent we actively seek out opportunities as individuals and as a community to express the love of Jesus to others through word and deed. |
What we believe
One God
One sovereign God, Revealed to us as Father, Son and Holy Spirit
“The love of God comes originally from the one called “Father”, is humanly enacted for the world in the sacrificial love of the one called “Son”, and becomes a present and vital reality in Christian life by the one called “Spirit”. (D. L. Migliore)
The Bible
The divine inspiration of Holy Scripture and its supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct
2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NLT) All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.
Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ was fully God and fully man in one person, and will be so forever
John 1:1 (NLT) In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:14 (NLT) So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.
Sin
The sinfulness of all human beings, and our individual need for salvation
Romans 3:23-24 (NLT) For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins.
Salvation
We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ and not by our own efforts or works
Ephesians 2:8-9 (NLT) God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.
The Holy Spirit
The need for the Holy Spirit to bring us to repentance, faith and a new life, and to transform and empower us.
Acts 1:8 (NLT) But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
The Church
The church is God’s new and inclusive community freed from sin, reconciled to God and one another, and called to God’s service in the world.
Galatians 3:26-28 (NLT) For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus. And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on Christ, like putting on new clothes. There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male and female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus.
End Times
The Christian hope for the completion of human life in perfect fellowship with God and others and for the consummation of God’s purposes for all creation.
Revelation 21:1-4 (NLT) Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the old heaven and the old earth had disappeared. And the sea was also gone. And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven like a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, “Look, God’s home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them. He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.”
