In March 2020, at the start of the Covid pandemic, God spoke to us that He wanted a church that was part of the life of the community around us. In response to this prompting, we began a new initiative to be a neighbour to the neighbourhood in Welcome Bay. The “Be a neighbour” project is a once a month event where teams go out to selected streets near our property in 340 Welcome Bay, reaching out to families that may need some extra help in these challenging times. Every 3rd Saturday of the month, equipped with food parcels, a friendly smile and a prayer, our teams go door to door and spend a few minutes encouraging our neighbours.
